stuff

sup guys sorry for no updates in a while. haven't been tremendously busy, just lazy. i plan on updating more though so meh.

been running pretty well in poker. ive done about 7 hours or so? which is almost an hour a day. not bad, considering. PLO hands run alot slower though, so hand wise i'll be failing pretty badly. been running well though, hands are holding up, occasionally sucking out on someone else, etc.

school is going alright. havent been studying really at all, some of my classes are a fucking joke though. i havent been to history of jazz since the first day of class (and my first test). the only real challenge i have with my schedule is my queer spanish class and also my core history class. everything else is fine. i guess my objectives are just not to fail and to pass everything else, aside from that (getting a C), i dont really care. meh...maybe i should have studied harder but whatever.

as i've said in the past, i don't really see myself working a 9-5 in a cubicle somewhere. plenty of people do it, and i'm not condoning it, just don't really think i'm of the right skill set for a job like that. i've always wanted to do something that i've enjoyed, not only for the money (which is probably why i wanted to be a teacher (and still do) for so long). and another reason why i dont play as much poker as others...i just dont really care about the money all that much. sure, its very nice...but some of my friends play 100,000 hands a month, grinding their asses off and making a killing...ive never had it in me to do something like that, so whatever.

not really sure what im doing for summer yet. plans are up in the air, ranging from south america to thailand to australia, etc. i'm thinking i'll do a month in thailand and then maybe a month in vegas (though a month was a bit much last time, im thinking maybe like 2-3 weeks might be better). some friends are there now and it looks like a blast. cant wait to be out of school, can't wait to travel. speaking of trips, i spontaneously booked a trip to orlando to go w/ my family this wed. to monday...i figure i could use a vacation, and going somewhere warm will be nice.

also along the same vein of planning vacations, prob will go to a few UF games next year. i'm thinking UTenn (fuck kiffin) and FSU (fuck the noles). this time of the year always sucks dick for sports (at least for me) since im not much into college hoops (maybe ill research more come tourney time) and football is done. NBA doesnt do much for me either.
